County office petitions due

Petitions for county offices must be filed in the Hamlin County Auditor’s office at the courthouse in Hayti by 5 p.m. Positions up for election are states attorney, register of deeds, sheriff, auditor and commissioner seats in districts 1 (incumbent Randy Rudebusch), 4 (incumbent Burt Tulson) and 5 (incumbent Larry Saathoff). The election will be held June 2.
