Voter registration deadline for Primary Election

Voter registration for the June 2 primary election closes at 5 p.m. on May 18th. If you are in doubt about whether you’re registered, check the Voter Information Portal at sdsos.gov or call the county auditor at 605-783-3201. Registration can be completed during normal business hours at the county auditor office, city finance office, secretary of state office and locations that provide drivers license, SNAP, TANF, WIC, military recruitment and assistance to the disabled. You may also contact the county auditor to request a mail-in registration form or access a form at sdsos.gov. Anyone with disabilities who needs assistance may contact the county auditor for information and special assistance.
