Water and SewerThe city has its own water and sewer systems. People can now pay their water bills online. The person paying the bill will be charged a fee for using the GovPay website to pay their bill.

THE CITY OF CASTLEWOOD is a growing community with friendly, helpful residents. The city has a volunteer fire department with 26 members and a volunteer ambulance with 15 EMTs. Both organizations are very active and do an excellent job. The city has a certified police officer along with coverage from the Hamlin County Sheriff’s department.
The city council meets the first Monday of each month at 7 p.m. The council consists of a mayor and six council members who each hold a two-year term.
