Petitions for county offices must be filed in the Hamlin County Auditor's office at the courthouse in Hayti by 5 p.m. Positions up for election are treasurer, coroner, states attorney and commissioner seats in districts 2 and 3. The election will be held June 4.
Inter-Lakes Community Action Program is accepting applications for the Hamlin County Sharing Tree. They are available from the ICAP or WIC office, both located on the first floor of the Hamlin County Courthouse in Hayti.
